Client Customization – Yountville Bat Mitzvah Invitation

When we set out to build our Custom Wedding Portfolio, we created it in a way that allowed for all of the designs to be customized to suit any type of event – holiday, baby announcements, showers, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and even personal stationery. Using our gallery of designs as the inspiration and our design library full of custom elements, each design detail can be personalized to create any stationery from the ground up. With this in mind, we have another fantastic non-wedding Client Customization to share with you today.

A fun take on our Yountville suite, today’s design came to us from our exclusive retailer RSVP in Roslyn, New York. Their client was inspired by the large monogram featured on our Yountville invitation, but wanted to personalize it a step further. They chose our large square, Royal size card and our design team adjusted the design to make the most of the space, while still allowing it to make the same bold statement. Keeping with the allover modern feel of this suite, the client chose a subtle color palette. The sweet, wisteria touches perfectly grace the monogram, the painted edges on the invitation card and the delicate pattern of our Dauphine Press exclusive Solage envelope liner.

Client Customization – A Peachy Take on Marinwood

I can’t tell you how often I hear people in our industry talk about how hard it is to design their own stationery! When you are exposed to such gorgeous design and printing every single day, I am the first to admit that it can be a painfully slow process when it comes time to narrow down all of the amazing choices into a single card for yourself. However, this time around, when it came time to design {another!} baby announcement, it was much less daunting!

With the help of Dauphine Press designers Matt and Heather and my client services sidekick Tracy, I had the perfect team to help me pull this design together. Focusing on every detail from the color palette to the perfectly petite pattern behind the photograph and the ideal art for the first panel to the most fabulous fonts for my baby girl’s name, it came together in no time. I absolutely love the end result and I’m especially pleased with the way it complements big sister’s announcement that we created two years ago.

Right from the start, I knew that I wanted to go with the same trifold format as Chelsea’s announcement {baby number one}, since that worked so well the first time around. This format has proven itself to be a great fit for everything from a big announcement to a wedding details card packed with travel information. And, let’s not forget what a precious keepsake it makes with it’s small size and luxe print techniques.

Our Marinwood design has seen many variations since it was released two years ago – check out a few of our favorites here and here. Are you looking for the perfect announcement or save the date? Visit one of our exclusive retailers and share with them all the ways you would customize your very own trifold.

Client Customization – Calligraphy with a burst of color!

Today’s client customization is a great example of how to use our custom design process to create a truly personalized stationery suite and an illustration of how small touches can have a big impact! The secret behind this customization is that it was actually customized twice! Please allow me to explain . . .

The original order came to us from our exclusive retailer Invitations and More, by Bonnie in New York. Bonnie and her client  created a beautiful, traditional design. Knowing that we can work with any supplied letterpress-friendly artwork {for no additional cost!}, Bonnie and her client sent us hand calligraphy. Working with calligraphers is something we do quite often and pairing letterpress printing and the hand of a true graphic artist is one of our favorite things to do. The letterpress printing and deep impression in our premium cotton papers has a way of really showcasing the thin and thick lines of hand lettering. Using our large royal size invitation {an oversized large square} in an off-white color, the calligraphy printed in black letterpress ink really showcases the hand calligraphy.

When our favorite industry magazine, Stationery Trends, was looking for images for their Chartreuse Color Wheel feature for their Winter 2012 issue, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to see what we could do to transform this traditional invitation suite. With just a simple edge painting embellishment we were able to create something completely different – and just as gorgeous! For the green edging, we chose a custom neon shade of green to really give it that pop we were looking for. Take a look for yourself:

We feel the story behind the two versions of this suite are a perfect marriage of what is current and what is always in style. Which version is your favorite? Are you classically traditional or do you like a splash of trendy mixed with your modern? Client Customization – A Regal Variation of the Larkspur Suite

The Larkspur Suite is one of our best sellers here at Dauphine Press, so we are very excited to show you a gorgeous and exceptionally regal customization of this very versatile design. Our exclusive retailer, By Invitation Only, worked with their client to create a stately version of this letterpress and foil invitation suite. Still loving the engraved style font paired with a classic serif as well as the decor inspired patterns of the original, this bride and groom chose to alter the color palette, making this suite their own. It’s nice to see that with a simple and smart color palette shift the overall feel of a design can be personalized. You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel – just pick your favorite elements and we will run with it!

One of the best parts of making changes like the ones shown above is that there is no additional cost to do so! Visit one of our exclusive retailers to start the design of your custom wedding suite today and take advantage of the free custom design we offer with every order. You can change the color palette, typeface, patterns and motifs on any suite and there is no additional cost! Plus, place your order before the end of June to take advantage of our Spring Promotion to get even more — we’re offering free note cards, free favor tags, 30 free invitations or 15% off any foil and letterpress wedding invitations ordered!

Client Customization – Bar Mitzvah Invitation

With the truly custom nature of our Custom Wedding Portfolio, we have the pleasure of often creating great designs for non-wedding events. We recently had the opportunity to work on a bold and graphic Bar Mitzvah invitation suite with one of our amazing retailers, Paper Plane Paperie. Emily at Paper Plane Paperie sends in some of the best customizations of our suites, but this modern suite was a designer favorite. Inspired by the sleekness of GQ Magazine, our designer had fun working with Emily and the client to create something a little different — keeping it masculine and current to suit the event and the inspiration. The suite features a minimal color palette and clean typefaces, which creates a striking presentation to guests.
