As we mentioned yesterday, we are all buzzing about the release of The Great Gatsby movie this weekend. Since it’s on our minds, we wanted to share with you this art deco-inspired interior by Kelly Wearstler. We just love her design, which seamlessly blends clean lines with a sophisticated palette of dark brown and golds. And the doors…they absolutely make this space spectacular with their geometric pattern and gold touches!

We have been anxiously awaiting the release of The Great Gatsby movie for some time now and we are thrilled that the date has finally arrived! We are looking forward to enjoying all of the visual goodness the movie promises to showcase. In the meantime, we found even more of the luxury of the 1920s displayed in a recent Vogue cover shoot. Playing Daisy Buchanan in the movie, Carey Mulligan is all about that vintage glamour feel in this fresh color palette from the shoot.

To capture the art deco feel, our team is envisioning our opaque, caramel letterpress ink paired with metallic copper foil on a thick duplexed card in the perfect neutral shade of cameo. With decorative accents like the ironwork-inspired pattern and a pop of raspberry double-faced satin ribbon, the look is complete!

The standout detail of our Meadowood design is the sweet, two-color letterpress pattern featured on the die-cut cover of the journal and on the note card border. While the pattern beautifully incorporates the two colors used in the palette {our lilac and olive letterpress inks}, it also provides a geometric texture.

With this inspiration board, our design team set out to examine how this very texture can be incorporated into event decor and stationery. The tiny pattern gives an overall airy and festive feel to the letterpress printed suite, just as the small florals and dappled light-like details add to the event decor. In fact, the tiny blooms could easily be likened to tiny confetti!
