Foil Stamped 40th Birthday Invitation

We are back today to share details and images of the invitation you caught a peek of on Bravo’s My Fab 40th. This very special event required a stand-out invitation. For the main invitation card, the centerpiece of any suite, Rose Gold foil was selected to highlight the striking type treatment featuring an Art Deco font in various sizes along with horizontal lines to show off the foil and highlight the wording of the invitation.

With the Rose Gold foil stamping on the Savoy Brilliant White letterpress stock for the front, a shimmery pale Coral card stock was selected for the back of the card. The two colors duplexed together made for a luxe card with a thick, board-like feel when held in your hand. The shimmery Coral on the back of the card was the backdrop for a custom all-over pattern. This new pattern {Pattern-156 in our Design Library} was printed in Black and Rose Gold foil to emphasize the thick and thin lines and add contrast to this dynamic pattern.

To top it all off, the invitation was edge painted in solid black to frame each side. The invitation was mailed in a black envelope with a shimmery Coral envelope liner and more of the striking type treatment from the invitation printed on the return address in more Rose Gold foil.

We do have a limited number of samples available. To see a sample of this invitation in person, just contact one of our retailers and request a copy. Retailers, that goes for you too! If you would like a copy, just send us a quick email or give us a call.

Client Customization – Sweet Patterned First Birthday Invitation

This sweet first birthday party invitation was for one lucky little girl!  Sent our way by the amazing team at Inscriptions on the Boulvevard in Forth Worth, Texas, this precious piece was originally inspired by our Yountville birthday card design. The original design features a monogram as the focal point and a fine allover pattern accent. Knowing their inspiration, and after hearing the perfect quote they wanted to include, our design team suggested a single-sided version that incorporated the pattern of our Meadowood suite and a delicate border. After modifying the Meadowood pattern from a 2-color design to a 1-color design and letterpress printing it in our shell ink behind a fun mix of playful typefaces in espresso, a custom design was born!

Suite Spotlight – Presidio Letterpress Wedding Invitation

We are thrilled to share with you our latest Suite Spotlight! Our Presidio suite is one we have kept under wraps for a few months now and we are delighted that it is finally making its debut this week here on our blog, on our website and in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. We think you will find it perfectly on trend and we hope that it fulfills your needs for another stunning take on an Art Deco-inspired event.

Dauphine Press Presidio Letterpress Wedding Invitation featured in Martha Stewart Weddings

This sophisticated letterpress wedding invitation suite was created for a modern wedding, featuring bold palm graphics and layers of geometric patterns. For the couple that values high design, this collection would be suitable for any extraordinary event in an endless number of color combinations and print techniques. Presidio was originally designed in jade {a custom color!} and sea glass letterpress inks with a splash of saffron gold. We are looking forward to its future customizations, as we are sure we will soon see requests for this suite in brilliant foils mixed with an array of letterpress inks. A few we’re dying to print – rose gold foil with blush and champagne inks, gold foil printed on an elegant duplexed black card or in combination with deep teal ink!

Ultimate Eye Candy – New Lookbook Pages!

Here at Dauphine Press we are all about two things – high end print techniques and custom design. In the past couple of weeks we have been highlighting a bunch of our favorite new print techniques, but today we want to talk about custom design! Every couple deserves a unique wedding stationery suite. No matter how simple they say they want to keep things initially, every couple ends up putting in many hours on all of their wedding details, big and small.

One of the most important elements is getting guests to your big day and conveying the right feel for your festivities. The design of your wedding stationery is a very important step. At Dauphine Press, we set out years ago to create an experience for all brides and grooms to do just that – create their very own, unique look without having to spend thousands with an independent designer. Using the Custom Wedding Portfolio Design Library, thousands of options are there for you to use at no additional charge.

Our albums include a carefully curated collection of design created by our design team. When creating these designs we take many things into consideration – a true Dauphine Press look, making the most of our print techniques and wedding trends. Even though we take the time to pull these designs together, it is always our expectation that couples will change *something* on our designs. Often times though, couples may be nervous about making those changes since it can be tough to visualize. With our new lookbook pages, all of that worry is gone.

Sitting side-by-side with each suite in our album are hundreds of additional ideas from our design team to help you create the perfect suite for your wedding and special event. There are changes big and small shown. We show everything from changing ink colors and fonts to swapping out print techniques and adding backers, duplexed colored papers and edging. This new tool also provides a visual for a range of budgets, showing that a 2-color letterpress and foil design in the album can easily be switched to 1-color letterpress – and that the results can be equally as stunning.

Customize your suite – with foil stamping!

With each new custom design element we feature, I’m tempted to say it’s my favorite and our newly refreshed foil palette is no exception. Every wedding deserves a little sparkle, but for couples who aren’t looking for traditional silver or gold — our new colored foil options are the perfect fit.

When we launched foil stamping in May 2011, we started with a traditional palette. Over the past year+, foil paired with letterpress has become very popular here at Dauphine Press. This year with the addition of our new colored foil options {not to mention how fabulous they are with our new duplexing options!}, we can’t wait to see all of the customizations you come up with. Take a look:

So far we’ve shown you modern colored foil paired with intricate motifs and patterns for the perfect balance of romantic and modern in our Hamilton and Fairfield designs (back patterns pictured above), but are you ready for monochromatic modern elegance?  Keep a lookout for our next blog post too — we’ve saved the most talked about design for last. We know you’ll love it and we can’t wait to see how you customize it for your extraordinary event.
