Color is one of the best ways to customize your wedding stationery. If you find yourself thinking about that one specific invitation design you pinned and love, “if only it was in your wedding color palette,” we want you to know that with our Custom Wedding Portfolio II you can always change the colors on the cards – for no additional cost. We created our custom design program assuming that every couple would, at the very least, want to personalize the color palette.
This customization of our Arbor wedding suite is a fun example of exactly that! Pairing our spring letterpress ink with a bright and cheerful magenta foil makes this design unique to this couple and their event.
The choice of design and playful color palette are perfect for this cocktail party invitation. Using color to express the personalities of the hosts or the playfulness of a specific event are a great way to get your guests excited about the big day, not to mention, differentiate the different auxiliary events from the wedding day!
Do you want to play with color? Is there a design in our album that you would love to see in a different color combination than it is shown? Let us know! We would love to work with you to find your perfect palette.
This beach wedding invitation makes a bold statement with a large motif printed behind classic fonts. The graphics are large, but do not take over the entire suite since they are printed in our soft powder blue letterpress ink. Paired with our taupe letterpress ink for the type, we think this softer version of traditional black or silver really adds to the beachy vibe of this suite.
Sent to us by our exclusive retailer Lettres, this design is one that is easily customized. If you’re having a garden wedding or getting married under an oak tree, we can easily swap out the beach motifs for florals or a gorgeous oak and acorn. We would love to work with you, so contact us, to find your signature style.
This sweet design is another one that we couldn’t wait to share. We love the unexpected color palette of our pale green honeydew foil on the shimmering aquamarine card stock. The aquamarine card stock has been duplexed to give it extra weight and presence. What a decadent choice for this intricate design. Foil was the perfect choice for the layers of framing with the glimmering tiny details that frame this save the date card.
Do you have your eye on a unique color palette or intricately detailed design that you would like to see printed in foil? We would love to help you design your unique wedding stationery suite so contact us or one of our retailers to begin the process!
Our design team is always creating new variations of the designs displayed in our wedding album. We wanted to share some of our favorite versions that we have created over the years with the hopes that they will inspire you when designing your wedding stationery!
Two of our most popular Save the Date designs are the Marinwood and Auburn styles. The custom design below, combines these two cards into one, brand new design. Using the trifold format from Marinwood, this design blends a front panel announcing the big day, a middle panel featuring a charming engagement photo and a third panel displaying essential details for guests. Inspired by the vintage letterpress wood type look of our Auburn suite, this save the date makes a statement with bold photography in a soothing subtle color palette.
Are you inspired by two of our designs and want to incorporate them into one, brand new design? Reach out to us or one of our exclusive retailers. We would love to hear your ideas and help you create a brand new designs unique to you and your event!
We wait patiently each December for Pantone’s Color of the Year announcement. Were you as thrilled as we were to see two (!) colors chosen for 2016? We love that Pantone changed the game a little this year. Their choice of two colors fed our love of choosing color palettes. When designing wedding invitations, one of our favorite steps is finding the perfect color combination and Pantone has done exactly that with their choice of Rose Quartz and Serenity.
We were inspired to use these two colors on an invitation, of course! We chose our Calistoga wedding invitation suite and transformed it into a look that creates a calming and beautiful overall feel with a balance of warm and cool tones. What better expression of a marital union – balanced, calm, beautiful?
In the two versions above, we are showing two ways to create this look. We have our existing color palette of letterpress inks and we also offer custom ink colors. There is a little bit of an up-charge for custom ink colors, so you can choose the best option for your budget. For the version using our existing color palette, we are suggesting a combination of our Rose and French Blue letterpress inks. The copy is split evenly between these two colors and then we added a splash of the Rose on the geometric pattern covering the back of the invitation and framed it all in a French Blue painted edge! For the custom version, we’re suggesting pastel PMS 9281 for Rose and PMS 7451 for Serenity.
