Client Customization – Foil Floral Wedding Invitation

With the arrival of the new year, we have a wonderful bundle of new Client Customizations for you. We love sharing the designs of our real clients because they often tell a unique story of the couple that created the design. It’s also the best source of inspiration – seeing what other brides and grooms are designing for their wedding invitations.

This square shape is perfect for a large decorative floral spray and traditional wording in a classic layout. Silver letterpress ink is used on for the wording, which is a combination of an all caps font paired with a graceful script for key details. The use of just one color for all of the wording keeps this look classic.

Our favorite element on this invitation is the orchid spray graphic printed in pearl foil. Paired with the brilliant white card, this design is the perfect example of restraint and glamour – perfect for a Palm Beach wedding! The thoughtful finishing touches include platinum painted edges and a platinum envelope liner.

Get The Look – Pantone 2016 Color of the Year

GTL-Pantone-1GTL-Pantone-2GTL-Pantone-3We wait patiently each December for Pantone’s Color of the Year announcement. Were you as thrilled as we were to see two (!) colors chosen for 2016? We love that Pantone changed the game a little this year. Their choice of two colors fed our love of choosing color palettes. When designing wedding invitations, one of our favorite steps is finding the perfect color combination and Pantone has done exactly that with their choice of Rose Quartz and Serenity.

We were inspired to use these two colors on an invitation, of course! We chose our Calistoga wedding invitation suite and transformed it into a look that creates a calming and beautiful overall feel with a balance of warm and cool tones. What better expression of a marital union – balanced, calm, beautiful?

In the two versions above, we are showing two ways to create this look. We have our existing color palette of letterpress inks and we also offer custom ink colors. There is a little bit of an up-charge for custom ink colors, so you can choose the best option for your budget. For the version using our existing color palette, we are suggesting a combination of our Rose and French Blue letterpress inks. The copy is split evenly between these two colors and then we added a splash of the Rose on the geometric pattern covering the back of the invitation and framed it all in a French Blue painted edge! For the custom version, we’re suggesting pastel PMS 9281 for Rose and PMS 7451 for Serenity.

Are you thinking of using the Pantone Color of the Year for the Wedding of the Year (yours!)? If you would like to see us transform your favorite design with this color palette, contact us or one of our retailers to start the design process.

Client Customization – Foil Stamped Timeline Save the Date

Most of us mark our lives with milestone moments and your wedding day is usually a pretty big point on your life and relationship timeline. Today’s Client Customization illustrates key moments on this couple’s timeline. Using vintage motifs printed in gold foil, this custom timeline tells a story and ultimately invites close friends and family to quite a celebration – 50 years of marriage! And yes, the gold foil was a must for this Golden Anniversary save the date!

CC-TIMELINE-STD

We love to think of visual ways to tell a story. A timeline like this, or a special floral or pattern are all things we can incorporate into your wedding stationery design. This save the date was designed with the visual timeline save the date, telling the story of this sweet couple. And, the invitation, featuring a traditional feel, features a balance of script and all-caps serif font. The finishing detail is the gold edge painting to highlight the luxuriously thick card.

We can’t wait to hear the details that define your story. Contact us or visit one of our exclusive retailers to start the design of your wedding stationery.

Client Customization – Updated Classic Letterpress Wedding Invitation

We have a special place in our hearts for a tasteful update on a true classic. Today’s client customization was created from scratch for this couple. Starting with their favorite double-thick 236# cotton letterpress stock then printing a classic layout with a monogram at the top, followed by a mix of a serif and a traditional script typeface in bold black ink. There’s nothing like the look of deep black letterpress on a fresh white stock – this combination really lets that deep letterpress impression shine!

CC-THUNELL

Two final touches that we absolutely adore are the subtle shell painted edges and the black twine binding all of the cards in this suite together to create a true gift for guests when they open their mail.

What is your version of an update on a true classic? Or, would you rather skip the traditional elements altogether and go with something trendy? No matter your style, our Custom Wedding Portfolio II gives you all the tools you need to create the wedding invitation of your dreams – whether you decide to create it from scratch, using the wedding album as inspiration or team up with one of our exclusive retailers to get their expert advice!

Client Customization – Sweet Letterpress First Birthday Invitation

We have a sweet customization for you today! We love to see our wedding invitation designs transformed into invitations for all kinds of events. With just a few easy changes, our Camille wedding suite was transformed into a delightfully elegant first birthday invitation.

CC-CAMILLE

Shifting the color palette to a range of peaches and oranges with traditional black wording is the first step in transforming this design. Then, swapping out the patterns for graphic florals result in a depth of pattern and color and adds interest. To add a touch of surprise, a second graphic floral pattern in a deeper orange was added to the back of the invitation. Finishing touches include the painted edges, matching envelope liner and striking cartouche on the return address.

We share all of these great designs to show you how easy it will be to customize your very own invitations. Plus, we have a wonderful group of retailers to help you create the perfect stationery for your event!
