Real Dauphine Press Wedding – Morgan & Lonnie’s New Orleans Wedding

We weren’t surprised to see this New Orleans wedding shared on Style Me Pretty last week. We love how they describe the event – timeless glamour – we couldn’t agree more! We are always fans of a timeless color palette like white and gold and we completely admire their dedication to keeping each white and gold element soft and pretty.

The bride and groom worked with our exclusive retailer PaperSmith in Louisiana to create a custom design based on our Vignette invitation. The couple chose to place the intricate frame around the edge of the card and selected a classic font combination for the wording. Using satin gold foil on both the frame and wording makes quite a statement as we see that perfect balance of soft gold and fresh white that is prominent throughout the entire event.

We love that as invitation designers and printers we get to be part of the early planning stages of so many stunning weddings. Hearing each couple’s vision, seeing the invitations come off press and ultimately seeing the images of the special day where everything comes together is just one of the reasons we love our job! We would love to join you on your journey from idea to fruition! Contact your local Dauphine Press exclusive retailer today to start the design process today.

Suite Spotlight – Princeton Foil Stamped Wedding Invitation

We love every one of our invitation designs equally, but with this round of new wedding invitation samples for our Custom Wedding Portfolio II we may have played favorites … we love the technique of using two layers of foil stamping on our last new design, Princeton. We hope you love it as much as we do!

An epic day deserves an equally glorious and captivating invitation. The Princeton wedding invitation suite is your perfect match with an abundance of sweet romance and the most opulent elements. Printed in both pearl and silver foil on a sweet die-cut card and paired with shimmery metallic envelope liner and response envelope, this suite is like a vintage piece of jewelry saved for the most extraordinary of events.

We created our Custom Wedding Portfolio knowing that every couple we work with would like the opportunity to customize their wedding stationery. We love creating inspiration, like the Princeton wedding invitation suite, to show you how you can dream big like two layers of foil stamping and a diecut shape! Pairing your ideas with the elements in our Custom Wedding Portfolio, you’re sure to end up with a design that is unique to you and your wedding day. Best of all, it is also designed to be fun! We encourage you to scour our website {don’t forget to check out our Search By Style feature} and meet with the experts at your local Dauphine Press retailer to get their guidance and input.

Real Dauphine Press Wedding – Jessica & Steven

Today’s Real Dauphine Press Wedding is an example of how powerful an evergreen stationery design can be. This couple paired charming, traditional details alongside a modern aesthetic on their wedding day, which resulted in a classic affair! Captured by Brea McDonald Photography, this coastal New England wedding is elegant and timeless!

Working with our exclusive retailer The Village Invites, the final wedding invitation design featured an elegant script in gold foil stamping on a soft white card. The oversized invitation is simplicity at its finest, putting the shimmering gold foil script in the spotlight.

A.M. Inspiration {pattern and color}

We all have our favorite creative times during the day, and for me, it’s early in the morning while most of the world – well, mostly my children – remain quiet. With our new “A.M. Inspiration” series, I will be posting images of what currently has me inspired, the exciting new ideas I am dreaming up on those quiet mornings and I’ll share my thoughts on how to translate that inspiration into stationery design and wedding invitations.

We are kicking off the series with a very special wedding invitation suite. This is a sneak preview of one of our new Dauphine Press design samples! We will reveal the full suite in a future post, but I first wanted to share two of my favorite details of this romantic and elegant design – pattern and color.

One of my main sources of inspiration is pattern and home fashion/decor (probably a result from my formative creative years at Martha Stewart Living). Using pattern in my designs has always been a trademark of mine. I also love creating borders and motifs out of vintage drawings/etchings. I typically pull them apart and put them back together to create a new design. At the same time, I try to build the perfect balance of color when layering patterns and borders like you see here with the lavender damask pattern and vintage caramel frame on this new invitation sample.

Speaking of color, this lavender and caramel letterpress combination is another perfect example of “traditional with a twist” that we talked about in a recent blog post. The “twist” in the creation of this color palette is the use of caramel for the most important verbiage on each piece. Overall it results in a soft, romantic feel with a warm neutral used in place of traditional black. The fresh look with the caramel against the lavender gives your guests a little peek into your attention to detail and will have them anticipating all of the other twists you have in store for them the day of the wedding!

Suite Spotlight – Lace Letterpress Invitation Suite

In wedding stationery design, we love when two unique elements collide to create something incredible. It’s a bit like a marriage, isn’t it?! Our Lacie letterpress invitation does exactly that with an elegant balance of vintage and modern design elements. The delicate, antique lace pattern curving across the top of each card in a bold, vivid, orchid letterpress ink creates a striking visual for your guests. We see this perfect balance again with the sleek and modern typeface letterpress printed in a warm charcoal gray ink on a soft natural white cotton stock. The subtle touch of the warm tones in the paper and ink help bridge the vintage and modern elements.

The inspiration board explores this beautiful balance and really shows off the orchid and pool color palette.

We would love to hear your story and what makes you unique as individuals and incredible as a couple. To see how it all translates onto your wedding stationery, visit your local Dauphine Press exclusive retailer.
