This striking image evokes such a rich and high-end demure feel that our team wanted to pull a collection of our custom design elements to recreate this look as a wedding invitation.

Translating inspiration photos and mood boards into a stunning stationery wardrobe is what our team does best. Pulling from our Custom Wedding Portfolio II and Design Library, our designers envision pairing our rich espresso letterpress ink for the wording and a gold foil design element on the main portion of the invitation. With striking cardinal edge painting as an accent and cool London fog gray envelope liner, this fashion-inspired suite would be complete!

Get the Look – Inspired Color Palette for Custom Wedding Invitations

Most of us are longing for a little warmth and sunshine this time of year, so it’s clear why we were inspired by this Vogue photo shoot featuring Taylor Swift. The color palette, celebrating the versatility of cool mint along with the warmth of rich golds and browns, has our design team pulling their favorite swatches and playing with samples. As a result, we found the perfect recipe for pairing this color palette with your custom wedding stationery.

Our designers are dreaming up a suite that incorporates a deep espresso brown letterpress ink printed on a thick duplexed card of a light brown “crepe” color. Then, with the fresh effect of the sea glass painted edges finishing the card and a golden “spun sugar” envelope liner, this palette would compliment any design and woo all of your guests!

If you also love to play with swatches and samples, we encourage you to visit any of our exclusive retailers to work with your very own Dauphine Press design consultant. Our Custom Wedding Portfolio II includes all of the available design elements and our retailers are pros at helping you define your big day with stationery!

Suite Spotlight – Hot Air Balloon Letterpress Baby Stationery

We are sharing a very special Suite Spotlight with you today. This sweet set of baby stationery was created for a family we have had the pleasure of working with for many years – from bridal showers, wedding invitations, personal stationery and now, baby announcements. As usual, the client worked with our design team and our Custom Wedding Portfolio II program and selected all of their favorite elements to create a perfectly custom stationery suite.

First up, we wanted to share with you an inspiration board that includes all of the elements incorporated into this darling suite. The board includes everything from shower details to color palette and sweet treats to serve guests … and you can’t miss the photo of the precious recipient of all of this gorgeous stationery!

The final suite included baby shower invitations, thank you notes and the baby announcement all featuring sketches of vintage hot air balloons. We love how the color palette varied for each piece, but still coordinated perfectly to tell the story. For the shower pieces, the color palette was chosen with mom in mind too and featured both pink and blue along with a gorgeous neutral gray. For the thank you notes and announcement, a softer palette was chosen since baby was the focus. The mix of fonts coordinated perfectly with the vintage theme and were used to highlight the most important details.

Are you expecting a new little bundle this year? We would love the opportunity to create custom stationery for you and your little one. Visit any of our retailers to get started on your very own custom design.

Dauphine Press Loves {pattern}

We’re back with another installment of our Dauphine Press Loves posts! As a team, we always find ourselves talking about our favorite things – blog posts we have read, images and articles in magazines and of course wedding and stationery details! With our Dauphine Press Loves posts we share our favorites right here on our blog. It gives you a little peek into the team creating your custom wedding stationery and hopefully provides a bit of inspiration!

Patterns are great ways to add flair and your own personal touch to any invitation suite. We really enjoy seeing all different patterns, and the innovative ways they are used throughout various stationery designs. Today we are sharing with you some of our top pattern picks for wedding stationery design. We hope you enjoy just a few of the endless possibilities!

Dauphine Press Loves - Pattern

{Kristie}  Kristie loves simple yet glamorous patterns, such as this stunning, metallic herringbone wallpaper.  Print a pattern like this on an envelope liner, or as a blind-impressed background design on an invitation for added character.(image: 1)

{Carissa} Carissa adores bold, graphic patterns, like the navy and white striped wall in this living room. The pattern creates clean lines and acts as an eye-catching accent, just like it would  if it were printed on the back of an invitation! (image: 1)

{Abbey} Take an old, British-inspired design and make it new again by printing it in an unexpected color combination like the green, cyan and gold hues shown. Abbey is head over heels over this extravagant damask transformation! (image: 1)

{Kendra} Small, all-over patterns, like these gorgeous trellis window panels, give a piece texture when printed and really grab Kendra’s attention.  (image: 1)
