Get The Look – Art Museum Inspired Wedding Invitation Palette

Our Get the Look posts help you find your way from the gorgeous images you find on Pinterest {or your favorite wedding blog or magazine} to a perfectly inspired wedding invitation color palette! Using our Custom Wedding Portfolio design elements we pull different colors, textures, patterns and finishes to create a unique wedding wardrobe for your special day. To help pull the look together we suggest starting with ink and paper, then moving on to embellishments like edge painting, envelope liners and pocket folds.

This rich scene in an art museum is a perfect example. We love the pattern print and mix of blues and teals so we pulled those elements into our stationery palette. The timeless jewel-toned color palette mixed with the warm copper evoke and art museum feel that we couldn’t wait to recreate in stationery.

We started with a deep Cerulean blue printed on our Natural White cotton letterpress paper. We decided to go with a Luxe Board finish on the card stock {layering three sheets together!} to create a high-end museum board feel. Next up are the embellishments – framing the invitation with a gorgeous Copper painted edge and shimmering Lapis envelope liner, this look is complete!

We would love to see the images that are inspiring you! Share your favorite images with us or your local Dauphine Press retailer so we can help you pull together the perfect design elements for your wedding invitation suite!

Suite Spotlight – Princeton Foil Stamped Wedding Invitation

We love every one of our invitation designs equally, but with this round of new wedding invitation samples for our Custom Wedding Portfolio II we may have played favorites … we love the technique of using two layers of foil stamping on our last new design, Princeton. We hope you love it as much as we do!

An epic day deserves an equally glorious and captivating invitation. The Princeton wedding invitation suite is your perfect match with an abundance of sweet romance and the most opulent elements. Printed in both pearl and silver foil on a sweet die-cut card and paired with shimmery metallic envelope liner and response envelope, this suite is like a vintage piece of jewelry saved for the most extraordinary of events.

We’re excited to share the third brand new wedding invitation suite that we recently added to our Custom Wedding Portfolio II – Stone Harbor! For those of you that love details, this suite is the perfect starting point. It has layers of elements that can easily be swapped out for your favorite details to create a brand new look.

Our versatile Stone Harbor wedding invitation suite is all about texture. From the subtle blind chevron pattern printed behind the navy letterpress text, to the silver metallic rope pattern on the colored paper bellyband and the repeating nautical knot pattern on the decorative envelope liner, this suite has it all! We’ve chosen motifs and a color palette with a nautical feel, but this sophisticated suite could easily be customized with a monogram, palm motif and tropical color palette for an island affair.

Our designers have paired a deep fuchsia pink letterpress ink and an elegantly duplexed card stock in London Fog. The neutral background of the cool gray invitation is finished with a pop of warm color for the painted edge. To complete the package, they have picked a black unryu decorative paper liner to add texture.
