Client Customization – Fancy Foil Stamped Save the Date

Using our Fairfield invitation pattern as their inspiration, the couple behind today’s Client Customization created a design that is the epitome of “traditional with a twist”. Our Fairfield pattern is set as a foil border detail, framing a classic save the date design with the client-created monogram and script font. The “twist” this couple designed – along with their local Dauphine Press retailer Carolyn at The Write Touch in Jacksonville, Florida – is a layer of pale pink letterpress ink (our shell) under the gold foil border. We love the dimension the printed solid creates under the foil stamped border!

Get the Look – Grey + Blush Inspiration for Wedding Invitations

This image from Canada’s FASHION Magazine has us falling in love with a grey and blush color palette all over again! The “classic meets feminine” combination is one we always love to play with {evidence here and here} but this time around our design team is sticking to just these two hues and we’re skipping the white altogether! That’s rare for a wedding invitation, we know, but we love the impact these color saturated design elements have on their own.

We almost always start with paper and ink when picking design elements. In this case we selected a subltely shimmery coral paper stock {duplexed into a thick card stock, of course} with our cool metal grey letterpress ink printed on it. Next comes another layer of metal, but this time in the form of edge painting. Then, we would wrap it all up in a luxe bisque double-faced satin ribbon.

The next step is the easy part – which of our designs would you love to see created with the combination of design elements? Your local Dauphine Press exclusive retailer can help you select your favorite elements and pair them with your favorite wedding invitation design. We can’t wait to see what you choose!

In our regular Get the Look series from the Dauphine Press design department, we share some of our favorite hot new style finds and make suggestions for how you can translate the same look into your wedding stationery using the many custom elements available to you in our design library. Keep in mind that ALL of our stationery suites receive a designer’s touch and every one of our designs is customizable. Pairing the color palette and embellishments above with any of our motifs or fonts allows us to create a stationery suite that is unique to you!

Client Customization – Larkspur Invitation Featuring Pearl & Rose Gold Foil

Today’s client customization is simply stunning! Lauren and Alexander worked with our retailer Elizabeth Grace to create their version of our Larkspur wedding invitation suite. Layering the suite with two different colors of foil (pearl and a custom rose gold!) and traditional black letterpress resulted in a lovely traditional invitation for this couple. Using the pearl foil for all of the patterns creates a beautiful backdrop for the rose gold foil frames and black letterpress printed wording. We’re in love with the results!

Dauphine Press Loves - Fonts

{Kendra} Kendra loves how the varying thick and thin lines of Piel Script radiate elegance and really show the best of letterpress printing.

{Kristie} Carolyna Pro is a whimsical, calligraphic script that’s both fun and classy, which is why Kristie is always delighted when she sees this font in stationery design!

{Abbey} Abbey adores the beautiful ornaments and delicate nature of Eloquence font. Combine this script with other serif or san serif fonts for a refined, polished look.

{Carissa} Belluccia Pro is Carissa’s favorite script font with its abundance of glyph options and classic, handwritten feel.

Dauphine Press Loves - Pattern

{Kristie}  Kristie loves simple yet glamorous patterns, such as this stunning, metallic herringbone wallpaper.  Print a pattern like this on an envelope liner, or as a blind-impressed background design on an invitation for added character.(image: 1)

{Carissa} Carissa adores bold, graphic patterns, like the navy and white striped wall in this living room. The pattern creates clean lines and acts as an eye-catching accent, just like it would  if it were printed on the back of an invitation! (image: 1)

{Abbey} Take an old, British-inspired design and make it new again by printing it in an unexpected color combination like the green, cyan and gold hues shown. Abbey is head over heels over this extravagant damask transformation! (image: 1)

{Kendra} Small, all-over patterns, like these gorgeous trellis window panels, give a piece texture when printed and really grab Kendra’s attention.  (image: 1)
