Client Customization – Letterpress Fashion Week Trifold Invitation

As some of you may have already seen, when we gave a sneak preview of this fun invitation on our Instagram account, we love that we were able to play a small part in this event! This fun letterpress trifold invitation incorporates some great design elements, all in one place!

CC-MEMPHIS-FASHION

Dauphine Press retailer Mrs. Post Stationery brought this project to us and we loved how they took our trifold format as a jumping off point and then incorporated elements from the event into the invitation design. What fun to work with such a stylish group. We knew it would have amazing results.

Memphis Fashion Week benefits the Emerging Memphis Designer Project and the Memphis Fashion Fund. The theme this year incorporated a natural color palette and patterns inspired by nature. The Copper and Ice Plant letterpress inks pair beautifully and help highlight the design elements. The wood pattern on the front cover mirrors their logo and the honeycomb elements are sprinkled throughout with a large hexagon shape framing the headline on the first panel and also used in a delicate manner on the last panel with a small scale honeycomb pattern. They used that last panel and placed a full-color fashion image over it so that the pattern framed the image. {Be sure to check out the @memphisfashionweek Instagram account for all of the non-stationery details including a must-see floral installation, also honeycomb inspired, in the VIP lounge created by @holidayflowersandevents!}.

Do you have a special event coming up for your work and need a fabulous invitation?! We would love to work with you, hear all of your ideas and create an amazing invitation design. Contact us or your local Dauphine Press retailer and tell us all about it!

Client Customization – Brilliant Blue Bar Mitzvah

Our popular journal format is great for all types of events and today we’re sharing a custom version of our Greenwich Bar Mitzvah journal invitation. Our long-time retailer {and expert stationer!} Sincerely Yours, Diane created this custom 4-page version that features two shades of brilliant blue letterpress – our Twilight ink and a custom turquoise {Pantone 2915u}.

The custom nature of our wedding album and design library allows you to customize a design for any type of event and this family did a great job of adding their own personal touch. Loving the font treatment of the original, they personalized the design with their own wording and message. They also used the same font treatment to create a custom note card that this young guest-of-honor will use for many years to come.

Additional fun details include a perforated response card that tears right out of the last page of the journal and fits into a colorful blue response envelope with a white foil stamped return address. The sleek silver grommets tie everything together, wrapping the journal in a dark navy {Envelopments Indigo} backer, and make a handsome statement.

This family also created two different versions of their invitation journal. Wanting to share different sets of details with kids and adults, they customized two versions. This way, everyone has the information they need that’s tailored to them and the details they care most about {and need to know}.

We would love to create a custom invitation design for your next big event! Contact us or one of our exclusive retailer {like Sincerely Yours, Diane} and we can start the creative process!

Client Customization – Lovely Lace + Letterpress

We love how this customization really shows off the true beauty of letterpress. The deep impression on the cotton letterpress paper displays the tiny details in the fine lace patterned border beautifully. The second effect the deep impression of the border has on this design is the negative space and how it really pops! The perfect platform for the traditional wedding invitation wording!

CC-ABBAS

We created this design with our exclusive retailer Papery & Cakery that displays a classic combination of metal letterpress ink and a blind hit on our 236# Savoy brilliant white paper stock. The simple monogram at the top really is the “icing on the cake” and is a great way to personalize this design.

Knowing the tricks of the trade is was we love about working with our long-time retailers like Niki at Papery & Cakery. It’s a delight to not only create a beautiful design for every couple we work with, but also make the most of the luxe print techniques we all love so much! Designer’s Desktop {Modern Monterey Engagement Invitation}

We love our Designer’s Desktop series because it is a peek into the creative minds of our design team and showcases designs that they would love to see in print. These designs often focus on details that look great when letterpress printed or are the designer’s version of perfect design balance.

Today’s letterpress invitation design has a retro mid-century modern feel. The clean and minimal face of the card incorporates two clean all-caps fonts and is framed with simple lines … with just a hint of retro with the starburst details in the outer most frame. On the back of the card, the throwback pattern is created from the non-printed portions of the design. With the green areas of the pattern pressed into the paper, the white line pattern appears raised and creates a great texture.

Do you love the feel of this design as much as we do? This version is for an engagement party, but it could easily be incorporated into a wedding day invitation. You can choose to work with us or one of our exclusive retailers to create your custom wedding invitation. Contact us to get started!

Designer’s Desktop {Solage Letterpress Wedding Invitation}

In our Custom Wedding Portfolio II, we feature stand-out save the date cards at the start of the album. We are often asked what the corresponding invitation and response card would look like. Our Designer’s Desktop series is the perfect place to share these details with you!

One of those save the date cards is our Solage save the date, which incorporates a two-layer antique engraving frame and a space for your engagement photo. For the invitation, we use the same two-layer frame and instead of your engagement photo taking center stage, we replace it with your invitation wording. We kept the horizontal layout, which allows for the couples’ names to fall on the same line. The response card follows suit with a similar layout, but with a small shift in the frame detail to keep things interesting.

We love the way the vintage feel of the frame pairs with the traditional wedding invitation fonts and layout within it. The delicate balance not only makes a statement to your guests, but it also beautifully showcases the letterpress printing.

If you would love to see this design in print, contact us or one of our retailers and we would be more than happy to customize this design for you on your wedding day!
