We are kicking off the new year and our new blog home with a sneak peek of our nautical Tiburon design. Our designers incorporated clean typography in marine and an oversized iconic knot motif in malt to create a journal save the date perfect for a yacht club wedding. You will see from our inspiration board below that we had a dapper seafaring couple in mind! Our brilliant white cotton stock, silver grommets and wave envelope liner in marine are the ideal finishing touches. You can see even more images of the details in our brand new gallery.
The striking layout of this design is easily customized to suit any event. In place of the knot graphic, imagine a palm tree for a tropical destination wedding, a beautiful floral graphic for an outdoor wedding or a calligraphic monogram for a traditional couple.
Our booklet format is fitting for couples wanting to send a wealth of information to their guests along with their save the date. The three or four pages in the journal could be used for travel information, a schedule of events, accommodations and a message from the couple. The beauty of this design is that it could easily be customized for a single card save the date or invitation. The sky is the limit!

The Sonoma suite is special to all of us at Dauphine. It was originally created by our then managing director, Erin, for her Fall wedding. The design was inspired by 19th century French engraving cuts to create a romantic and formal, but not so traditional look. To continue the romantic and formal feel, for its debut in our new Custom Wedding Portfolio II album, the Sonoma suite was letterpress printed in malt and espresso inks on our double-thick natural white premium stock and then edged in espresso. The updated color palette, along with the new Dauphine exclusive liner paper in our espresso Filigree pattern, make it a great choice for today’s classically elegant bride.
We can’t wait to see how this design evolves though. The beauty of our Custom Wedding Portfolio albums are that any design can be customized — adding custom foil touches, swapping out letterpress inks, edging and envelope liners — the options really are endless! We are excited to see how future brides update this design to suit their event.
Can you see it in blush and bashful? Traditional black and silver? Cheery coral and tangerine? Modern turquoise and sunshine? How would you customize this design?
