We’re giving today’s Suite Spotlight a little twist! While you’ve already seen the original inspiration for our Monterey design, created for the gorgeous Peony Pop vignette at The Lab Event, today we wanted to illustrate how versatile letterpress and foil invitation suites can truly be. Monterey is perfectly suited for fun and playful affairs like the one designed for The Lab, but it can also make the ideal introduction to a romantic and neutral palette as shown in today’s inspiration board.

We love Monterey for its 1960s decor-inspired sunburst monogram in gold foil. In fact, we love it so much that we were sure to include this motif on the accessory pieces to highlight key details, such as the response date on the reply card and the title on the menu card. In its original version, the shell colored letterpress details on the invitation border and on the exclusive liner pattern allowed the sunburst detail to be the star. And, the sweet lemon meringue papers used for the response card and personalized belly band rounded out the color palette, while securing all of the invitation elements. With our custom design process, any of these details could be modified to highlight your favorite detail in any color palette. With a design as versatile and classic as Monterey, the options are endless!
We would love the opportunity to customize Monterey for your extraordinary event. Contact one of our exclusive retailers today to get started on your custom foil and letterpress wedding invitation suite. And, don’t forget to take advantage of our Spring Promotion when placing your order thorough one of our exclusive retailers before June 30th.
We are also very proud to announce that our Monterey suite has been nominated for the 4th Annual Trendy Awards in the bridal category. If you love it as much as we do, please vote!
In an earlier post, we shared a few Instagram shots from The Lab Event and the Peony Pop vignette we were lucky enough to help bring to life with the help of some of Northern California’s top wedding vendors. Today we are thrilled to be sharing photographs of the final vignette taken by the incredible (and always adorable!) Pictilio photography team.
The original Peony Pop inspiration board was chosen by The Lab Event and Snippet & Ink to be presented as one of the vignettes at the event. Along with Pictilio, we were paired with A Savvy Event (Design & Coordination), Valley Flora (flowers), Sweet on Cake (cake) and Milk Glass (vintage rentals) to bring this mix of retro fun and romantic elegance to life at Cline Cellars. Enjoy!
You can see more images and read more about how the entire look came together on both Pictilio blog, A Savvy Event blog and Snippet and Ink.
Are you inspired by the Peony Pop vignette? Does it have you brainstorming ideas for how to style your big day and incorporate your Dauphine Press custom letterpress and foil stationery? If so, you can contact one our exclusive retailers to start the process!
If you are looking for even more inspiration, next up is our Suite Spotlight post on the Monterey letterpress and foil wedding invitation suite we created for the event.
In the spirit of summer, below are a few photos from a wedding we worked on with the amazing Sasha Souza. Carrie Nelson and Jon Spurlock were married last year at Carrie’s parent’s rice
farm in Pleasant Grove, California. The illuminated barn is such a beautiful touch!

We recently had the pleasure of working with a lovely local couple, Anne and Mike, to design and print the invitations and day of pieces for their Santa Barbara wedding.
To tie-in to the look and feel of their event at the Four Seasons Biltmore Resort, Anne and Mike selected the Grammercy suite from our Coral wedding line for their menu and other reception pieces.
Their charming and classically Californian event was photographed by the brilliant Ray Erwin, who was voted one of the top ten wedding photographers of 2009 by American Photo. He recently featured Anne and Mike’s wedding on his blog – click here to see Ray’s beautiful work and more details from Anne and Mike’s joyous day.
Check back next week when we feature Anne and Mike’s invitation suite in a to-die-for tangerine and turquoise color combination.
