Suite Spotlight – Kentfield Letterpress Wedding Invitation Suite

Here in Northern California it’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen any rain. In fact, there’s been just enough sunshine to start wearing open-toed shoes. We know there is more winter weather in store, but it doesn’t keep us from daydreaming about spring.

Our Kentfield design is perfect for the romantic couple. Whether your venue is outdoors or in a dramatic ballroom, the floral design surrounding the text and frame adds a soft touch. Letterpress printed in our buttercream and metal inks, this combination gives the illusion that the French engraving cuts and timeless typography are sitting atop a bouquet of begonias. Each card incorporates the same design elements, but each in a unique way to add interest to this enduring design.

Real Dauphine Press Wedding – Nancy & Peter

Today’s real wedding comes from our own neck of the woods in Northern California. Photographed by Briana Marie Photography and planned by Suzy Berberian Weddings this event was a true stunner.

We are absolutely in love with the vintage sophistication of this celebration. The intricate motif, elegant fonts and rich color palette work well with the styling and decor of the event. Seeing all the details come together, we think the beautiful letterpress design is a perfect fit for Wine Country and this happy couple.

For more images (and other sweet ways this couple weaved tradition into their celebration) pop on over to Briana Marie Photography for the full post or visit Style Me Pretty for their feature. Enjoy!

Get ready for the Lab Event 2013

After having such a great time last year, we are thrilled to be participating in the Lab Event in 2013! The Lab Event is a big party containing amazingly styled vignettes created by some of the top trend-setting wedding industry professionals Northern California has to offer. In a laid-back setting, couples experience inspiration boards brought to life, sips and bites from some of the best caterers, sweets and treats from top dessert designers, a vendor library, a non-traditional runway show, and one heck of a party to round out the night. Northern California brides, if you haven’t purchased your tickets already – we’d definitely suggest you do so ASAP by clicking here. They always sell out and time is running short.

This “Peony Pop” inspiration board was submitted through Snippet & Ink and chosen by the Lab to be recreated at the event. Below are some favorites from the Pinterest board we were assigned.

Our favorite part about the event is the creative collaboration it inspires. Each vendor is assigned to a team and we couldn’t be happier to be part of the group bringing this board to life! Here’s an overview of the amazing wedding vendors that we’re lucky enough to be working with on the Peony Pop vignette:

A Savvy EventA Savvy Event is an incredibly talented Event Planning and Design Company located in Wine Country. They offer everything from full service planning and design to consulting, and have done a great job pulling the vision for our vignette together. We don’t want to spoil anything but trust me you’ll want to stay tuned. It is going to be AMAZING.

PictilioPictilio is the husband-and-wife photography studio of Vitaliy and Candace Prokopets, and they are in the business of making love. Yes, you read that right! They take pictures and blog in hopes of inspiring couples to not only stay committed to one another, but to stay in love. Their lovely business cards each include a different idea for a date night. Check out their website and Facebook page for more!

Valley FloraValley Flora is a full service design studio located in Napa and specializing in weddings and events. We can’t wait to see what they come up with!

Milk GlassMilk Glass is located in Pleasanton, California and will add a vintage flair to any event. If you haven’t visited their website – go now! For all of you Northern California brides, this is an amazing rental resource!

We will keep you posted on the progress and will provide you with as many sneak peeks as we can, but make sure you get your tickets for the event so you can see it all in person. Real Dauphine Press Wedding – Brigid & James

Doesn’t it officially feel like fall now that we’ve turned our calendars? Even though the weather forecast for today says 95 here in Sonoma County, fall is definitely in the air with a chilly start to the day before temperatures began to rise.

This week also marks the 1st anniversary for a very sweet Dauphine Press couple. It was such a delight working with this couple, their family and our retailer Pearl Grant Richmans in NY on this invitation suite. Since our orders come to us through our exclusive retailers we don’t always get to know the couple and their families very intimately, but this very gracious bride and her mother have personalities that really shine, which means we had the pleasure of getting to know them a little. We’re so glad we did too!

As a result, the couple shared their wedding photos, taken by the amazing Tom Wall Photography, and we are excited to share them with you today.

They chose our Zinfandel design, which perfectly suited their formal fall wedding with the rustic branches printed in our cocoa letterpress ink. The Zinfandel design is a true classic. We especially love the book art details in the copper backer card and espresso ribbon corners that give it an old world feel.

Happy Anniversary to this lovely couple!

Fine Details from The Fine Print

Happy Friday, Fine Print fans! Today’s “Fine Details” post is a collection of our favorite images from the week — a few from each coast. Enjoy these images from our California design studio and our New York print studio!

Holidays and gift giving are tons of fun when you work with a creative group. This past Valentine’s Day was no exception and was full of charming designer details. Heather handmade valentine bags filled with sweet treats (and displaying one of our favorite puns – suite!) /1/ while Matt’s gift included a little card /2/ that celebrates the love between Mr. & Mrs. Eaves (two of our favorite fonts). Maybe it’s just February, but pink seems to be everywhere we look lately. This image of pink blossoms /3/ was taken in downtown Petaluma and Pinky’s Pizza /4/ is just down the street. How can you not have a little love for that vintage typography?

Our press room in New York continued turning out amazing print work this week. We can’t get enough of this image showing the plate for a custom Carneros mixed with Cloverdale-inspired save the date being inked /5/. Isn’t the vibrant fuchsia color on the rollers /6/ to die for?!  Always delighted to see the art of letterpress in action, we also adore the side-by-side shots of our Bloom suite – on press and finished invitation ready to send to the couple! /7-8/

We are enjoying early spring weather here in Northern California. We hope that your weekend is sunny too – whether these images brighten your winter weather or if you too are enjoying early spring with us!
