We are very happy to announce a new series of posts we will be doing over the next few months designed to provide you with little sneak peeks into the creation of our new album, the Dauphine Press Custom Wedding Portfolio II! We’ve had quite a lot of fun pulling inspiration for these projects and we are incredibly excited to see the finished suites rolling off the presses.
Today we present you with the first installment, our Marinwood tri-fold save the date. Below you will see our initial inspiration board and then … a few snapshots of the final product!

Last night we had a great evening at the events open house at terrain in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. {Full disclosure: my husband runs this garden lifestyle brand for Urban Outfitters.} The evening was magical and well attended. I met so many great people and had a fun time showing our custom letterpress invitations to brides and grooms.
Terrain has been quietly booking events from weddings and rehearsal
dinners to birthday dinners and parties since they opened about two
years ago. They have a new chef {the amazing Keith Rudolf,
the former chef de cuisine from Supper in Philadelphia} and an in-house events team who are collaborative, creative and attentive. Terrain isn’t simply an ideal spot for Sunday brunch, it’s also a dreamscape for weddings and other events.
I always get so inspired when I spend time at terrain. I come away wanting to completely redefine my indoor and outdoor living spaces, overhaul my entertaining and unplug my life. That’s saying a lot for someone who isn’t a gardener at heart. Terrain is part reverie, part store, part experiential bliss. Last night didn’t disappoint. Feast your eyes!

Our Alhambra invitation design comes to us courtesy of Jori Jackman at Seaside Papery in Coronado, California. The invitation was custom designed for an event at The Prado in San Diego’s Balboa Park which is known for it’s flamboyant Spanish Colonial style architecture.
One of the things I always recall about The Prado is the gorgeous hand painted tile work throughout the restaurant, and also in the outdoor courtyards and magnificent Moorish style fountains surrounding it. We were naturally delighted to have the opportunity to incorporate some of the gorgeous tile details into this inspired invitation. We used a distressed fill on the aqua blue arch that frames the invitation wording to lend a vintage feel that ties in perfectly with the retro script typeface. Also the fresh palette is one of our personal favorites. Enjoy!

This weekend, Petaluma, California celebrates it’s 29th Butter & Egg Days with a parade, street fair and antique fair. It’s a local version of Founders’ Day in that it celebrates the town’s heritage. When we moved to Petaluma in 1999, a neighbor told us that everyone in town is either IN the parade or AT the parade. They were absolutely right! We went from bystanders to pulling red wagons full of princesses, cowboys and chicks over the years. It’s the highlight of the year for just about every child in town and it is one of the many things that make Petaluma one of America’s great small towns.
