At Dauphine Press we are huge fans of Santa Barbara Chic and Jose Villa — when the two came together at the beginning of August for this exquisitely graceful and ethereal style shoot, we couldn’t have been more inspired! The effortless color palette is perfect for a late summer wedding or a fresh alternative to a traditional fall color palette.
Our design team paired some of our custom design elements to create the perfect letterpress invitation suite to complement this color palette. Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Today we want to share a sweet customization of our Auburn save the date. This lovely little job came to us from INK by Kymberli Parker. We think that the color palette and playful woodblock inspired type is a perfect fit for a late summer wedding, don’t you?

Though we were sad to hear that The Great Gatsby movie has been delayed from its original debut this winter, with the new release date of summer 2013 we actually love that the light and airy palette of our Hamilton invitation suite will be right at home for an art deco inspired wedding in the summer months!
Our Hamilton suite is all about color and detail. Our new Honeydew foil gives a subtle touch of color but a whole lot of shine framing the vintage typefaces and on the vintage French pattern printed on the back of the invitation card. The secondary highlight is subtlety at its best with the new Lemon painted edges and new Lemon Meringue stock used on the response card. We especially love how the Honeydew foil prints on the Lemon Meringue paper – looks good enough to eat! This entire suite is traditional at heart, but really shows off the vintage glamour feel through the sweet color palette and intricate frame and pattern. Bon appétit!

We’re loving Hamilton since it incorporates a number of the new custom design elements in our album — from the colored foil to the opaque Copper letterpress ink, to the fact that they both print beautifully on our premium letterpress papers as well as the vibrant Lemon Meringue stock. We hope you’re excited to visit your local Dauphine Press exclusive retailer to put your ideal stationery suite together — because we are certainly excited to see what you come up with using our new design elements!

The subject of today’s post is a fresh and pretty ad for the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection. This delicious image incorporates soft pastels and sweet details that inspired our designers to explore our design library and pull swatches and elements that would recreate this look in a sweet stationery wardrobe. This quote from the company says it all: “The spirit of our Spring/Summer 2012 collection is reflected beautifully in this new ad campaign,” says Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Marc Jacobs. “All the tone and texture of the collection – the lightness, the prettiness, the broderie anglaise, the millefueille layers of organza – are recreated in these wonderful images by Steven Meisel. It is all very soft and very sweet, yet at the same time very bold and very graphic.”
