Real Dauphine Press Wedding – Brigid & James

Doesn’t it officially feel like fall now that we’ve turned our calendars? Even though the weather forecast for today says 95 here in Sonoma County, fall is definitely in the air with a chilly start to the day before temperatures began to rise.

This week also marks the 1st anniversary for a very sweet Dauphine Press couple. It was such a delight working with this couple, their family and our retailer Pearl Grant Richmans in NY on this invitation suite. Since our orders come to us through our exclusive retailers we don’t always get to know the couple and their families very intimately, but this very gracious bride and her mother have personalities that really shine, which means we had the pleasure of getting to know them a little. We’re so glad we did too!

As a result, the couple shared their wedding photos, taken by the amazing Tom Wall Photography, and we are excited to share them with you today.

They chose our Zinfandel design, which perfectly suited their formal fall wedding with the rustic branches printed in our cocoa letterpress ink. The Zinfandel design is a true classic. We especially love the book art details in the copper backer card and espresso ribbon corners that give it an old world feel.

Happy Anniversary to this lovely couple!

As we’re sure you know by now, our exclusive retailers are #1 in our book! We love that we have the opportunity to work with so many paper experts around the world and that when a couple looks for Dauphine Press it is these fine folks that are helping them create amazing suites! With the launch of our latest new designs and custom design elements, we have been seeing many posts from our retailers on their blogs. It’s fun to see their perspective and favorite elements in our line. We know there are a lot of paper lovers out there reading our blog, so we wanted to spread the word about these sites with the hopes that you will love them as much as we do!

Dauphine Press at NSS 2012, Part Two

Dauphine Press Letterpress Foil National Stationery Show Edge Paint

As we mentioned last week, our team always has a blast preparing for the National Stationery Show each year and creating a new booth design. The best part of it all is catching up with friends old and new. It is the one time of year that we get to visit with so many of our retailers at once. They mean so much to us so it is a very special time! {To see a complete listing of our exclusive retailers, visit the Locate a Retailer section of our website.}

Beyond our retailers, we also love to catch up with our friends in the industry who share the best of stationery with you every day. Below are more details, in their words, on our new offering we previewed at NSS 2012 and are launching on our website and with our retailers in mid-July.

We always love running into Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper and were delighted to be part of her extensive NSS recap. Also, did you see her article on NSS booth design? It really resonated with us!

It is always delightful to run into long-time friend of Dauphine Press, Alyson Kuhn of Felt & Wire. See her NSS recap as well as a unique view of Dauphine Press and our design team through Alyson’s latest interview with owner Glenn Schuster and art director Katrina McHugh.

We love this unique view from retailer Paper and Home in Las Vegas’ perspective on the show.

Perfectly put paper goodness from Emily at Southern Weddings. Don’t miss her recent Teal Party inspiration board with an appearance by one of our favorite destination wedding suites, Pacifica.

We will be back soon with details on each new design and even more photos!

Dauphine Press at NSS 2012, Part One

We had an amazing time at (and preparing for) the National Stationery Show last month. We are thrilled to share some photos of our booth with you today!

Our booth was designed in tandem with You + ME, who were amazing to work with. We had so much fun with this creative process – it was almost like planning a wedding – complete with invitations, decorations, “dessert” and party favors!

Here is a photo tour of our booth! All photography by Brooke Fits of Brookelyn Photography.

This year we created a welcoming lounge area right in the center of our booth where our guests could relax, enjoy a bite of chocolate and get a preview of our newest designs!

One our favorite parts of the entire project was the paper cake table created with You + ME! The cakes were made from our new patterns, papers and foils and were delicious (to behold). This table also featured four of our new suites (all of which you will be seeing much more of soon!).

Dauphine Press Letterpress Invitations - National Stationery Show Booth
We’ve been loving everything foil since we added it to our line last year and were thrilled to invite retailers to SHINE! with Dauphine Press in 2012.

Our amazing retailers are truly the backbone of our business so we took the opportunity to show off THEIR beautiful projects. These are just a few of the many real weddings we featured in our booth.

And finally, a few of our favorite details: Our take-away for our exclusive retailers was a gold logo bag | LOVED the florals in mercury glass vases (more SHINE!) provided by You + ME | We received the most amazing response to our satin ribbon display | We had such a fun time showing off our hand painted edges – a technique we just debuted last year and recently expanded to 56 colors!

Stay tuned for more details on our new offering debuting on our site in mid-July! We can’t wait to share it with you!

See what we’ve been up to – on Instagram!

It has been a busy (and exciting!) couple of weeks here at Dauphine Press. We have quite a few more detailed posts coming up with specifics of what we have been up to, but today we wanted to share a few images. Dauphine Press is now on Instagram (dauphinepress) and we’ve been having fun documenting and sharing the latest news. We hope you enjoy!

1. Katrina attended wedding photographer Erin Bigley‘s wedding over the holiday weekend in Carmel, Ca and captured this beautiful vignette.

2. As we revealed at the National Stationery Show (NSS) last week, our Edge Painting is now available in 56 colors.

3&4. Also announced at NSS, we have a bunch of new letterpress and foil swatches (seen on press above) that will reach our retailers this July!

5. Our design team was delighted to work with You + ME* for the styling of our NSS booth. This photo is of Miya hanging the gorgeous garland of Midori ribbon.

– 6 & 7. Snapshots of some of our booth details!

– 8. A visit from Kelly Brent, Cassidy Iwersen and Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings (photographed here with owner of Dauphine Press, Glenn Schuster).

We hope you enjoyed these visuals of what we’ve been up to. If you want to see more, follow us on Instagram (dauphinepress).
