Our Presidio suite is one we have kept under wraps for a few months now and we are delighted that it is finally making its debut this week here on our blog, on our website and in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. This sophisticated letterpress wedding invitation suite was created for a modern wedding, featuring bold palm graphics and layers of geometric patterns. For the couple that values high design, this collection would be suitable for any extraordinary event in an endless number of color combinations and print techniques. Presidio was originally designed in jade {a custom color!} and sea glass letterpress inks with a splash of saffron gold. We are looking forward to its future customizations, as we are sure we will soon see requests for this suite in brilliant foils mixed with an array of letterpress inks. A few we’re dying to print – rose gold foil with blush and champagne inks, gold foil printed on an elegant duplexed black card or in combination with deep teal ink!

The next design in our Suite Spotlight series is the Vignette collection from our original Custom Wedding Portfolio. Over time, this popular, evergreen suite has seen many variations and thus showcases the best of our custom design process.

Originally designed for Martha Stewart Weddings magazine as a wedding suite, this “vintage with a modern twist” letterpress printed card is an architecturally-inspired design that blends classic proportions with modern minimalism. The variation we are showcasing today was recently added to our website’s Custom Social Stationery gallery. Customized as a social invitation for a winemaker’s dinner party, it features our black and saffron letterpress inks and a black linen envelope liner.

Given all of the requests we received lately for invitations with a mid-century modern theme, the inspiration board details a grand party with vintage flair!

Combining casual and rustic elements, Auburn expresses a country-chic vibe with its use of vintage wood type-inspired fonts. The type treatment is so strong that it radiates a cheerful, fun-loving tone sans any specific motifs. The oversized ampersand acts as the focal point – the ideal visual element symbolizing the upcoming union. Another standout detail of this particular variation is the use of three letterpress ink colors. The intentional overlapping of inks (also know as “overprinting”) and the crosshatch background pattern give the card extra dimension. Auburn is the perfect design for a fun and artistic couple looking to add some color and history to their letterpress wedding invitations.

We have been anxiously awaiting the release of The Great Gatsby movie for some time now and we are thrilled that the date has finally arrived! We are looking forward to enjoying all of the visual goodness the movie promises to showcase. In the meantime, we found even more of the luxury of the 1920s displayed in a recent Vogue cover shoot. Playing Daisy Buchanan in the movie, Carey Mulligan is all about that vintage glamour feel in this fresh color palette from the shoot.

To capture the art deco feel, our team is envisioning our opaque, caramel letterpress ink paired with metallic copper foil on a thick duplexed card in the perfect neutral shade of cameo. With decorative accents like the ironwork-inspired pattern and a pop of raspberry double-faced satin ribbon, the look is complete!
